Fabulous Links of the Week: Super Bowl Edition

Took this shot for photography class. The pop of blue from the bike drew me to the scene.

It’s Game Day, and it looks like the Falcons are Rising Up. This week, New York magazine’s blog The Cut takes on aging and Kerry Washington turns 40 and owns it. See below for the Gaga-licious Links of the Week!

I’m a longtime fan of New York magazine. I especially like it’s lifestyle blog, The Cut. This week, The Cut published a series on aging and aging well called Wrinkles In Time. My favorite piece is an essay called “Why Won’t We Let Madonna Age the Way She Wants To?” I love Madge, and how she keeps reinventing herself. Why shouldn’t she age however she pleases?

The older we get the more interesting we get. Slowing down and getting out of the fast lane are boring, and make you irrelevant. And The Material Girl is anything but. You can see a list of articles in the Wrinkles in Time series here.

This week on the blog, I waxed poetic about Adore Me pjs and Essie Gel Couture nail polish.

This year, I’m doing the Eyecandy Project 52 photography challenge. Every week, we have to take a picture inspired by a prompt, such as From Above. Some prompts are relevant to the time of year, some are more evergreen. I’m thinking I’ll post my more successful efforts here about once a quarter. Wish me luck!

Also, I started taking a photography class recently. I’ll try to post here about my progress.

I’m excited to hear about your photography class experience. I recently went to a meet up to learn about lighting and realize there is a lot I need to learn

I really like the class so far. It seems kind of intuitive, but there are many things you don’t think about that make a picture really grab your attention. I’ll be posting…
