For a little weekend fun, I put together a post of my favorite shots from my photography class field trip to NYC last Sunday. We got an early start at about 8 am, and took the PATH to the World Trade Center so we could take pictures in The Oculus and the new Westfield World Trade Center shopping mall.
Then we walked up Broadway in Chelsea, and stopped so we could practice capturing the blur of a moving object.
The next stop was Columbus Park. On the way, I snapped this interesting-looking building.
We finally arrived at the park. It’s actually a pretty big place with ping pong tables, basketball courts, and a few soccer fields.
From Columbus Park we moved on to Chinatown.
So there you have the highlights. At least on my camera roll. After Chinatown, I took the PATH back to Hoboken with the instructor and another student. By that time, it was after 11 am, and I wanted to upload my pictures to my computer.
I plan go back and shoot just in Chinatown. I have a feeling these shots just scratched the surface.
Tell me about the most photogenic neighborhood where you live. Let’s talk photo inspiration in the comments!
This year, I’m doing the Eyecandy Project 52 photography challenge. Every week, we have to take a picture inspired by a prompt, such as From Above. Some prompts are relevant to the time of year, some are more evergreen. I’ll post my more successful efforts here about once a quarter.
