Photography: Essence of My Neighborhood, Up & Out and Sweet

I’ve posted here before about my photography assignment, The Essence of My Neighborhood, focusing on the park and hospital. Other hot spots in our hood include the local blow out bar, Up & Out, and cupcake emporium, Sweet. They are always packed! As promised, here are some pics.

Walking east on 4th Street, at 4th and Garden, a.k.a. the corner of yummy and heaven!

How delicious do these scones look?

The chocolate icing on these cupcakes is ah-mazing!

If you continue walking east on Fourth, you reach the corner of Fourth and Bloomfield, and the Up & Out Blow Out Bar.

Up & Out always has the best signs!

They do the bounciest blowouts!

The place smells like Moroccoanoil products! So fabulous!

And there you have some more highlights (and lowlights and balayage) of my neighborhood! Tell me, what are the busiest spots in your neighborhood? Where do you like to hang out? Share your favorite local places in the comments!

This year, I’m doing the Eyecandy Project 52 photography challenge. Every week, we have to take a picture inspired by a prompt, such as From Above. Some prompts are relevant to the time of year, some are more evergreen. I’ll post my more successful efforts here about once a quarter.
