Bath and Body: Le Petit Marseillais Shower Creme

I’m down to try anything French, especially French beauty products. The French know their stuff. So I couldn’t wait to try France’s popular Le Petit Marsellais line of body care, which recently launched in the U.S.*

According to parent company Johnson & Johnson, Le Marseillais started as a small hand-made soap company in Provence. One of the brand’s first products was olive oil soap sold in a few local pharmacies. The ingredients in Le Petit Marseillais are inspired by the South of France: lavender, orange blossom, and nectarine.

“The spirit of Le Petit Marseillais goes beyond ingredients,” Dawn Kidd, senior marketing director at Johnson & Johnson, Consumer Inc., said in a statement. “These products capture an entire way of life in the South of France: the sun-kissed countryside, vibrant colors, and simple pleasures of Provence.”

I am currently loving the Cotton Milk & Poppy extra-gentle shower creme. It smells like clean laundry, and leaves your skin feeling really soft. Apparently poppies bloom in the summer in the Mediterranean.

My other fave? White Peach & Nectarine extra-gentle shower gel. I’ll be smelling yummy this summer!

Le Petit Marseillais is available at stores like Walmart, Target, and CVS. As a matter of fact, according to the press materials, Walmart exclusively carries a line of 17 Le Petit Marseillais products, including hand soaps, body lotions, and a bar soap. The best part is that all these items are priced between $3.99 and $7.97. How wallet friendly is that?!

Tell me. Have any of your favorite foreign beauty products made their way stateside? You know me and K-beauty. And I’ll always come back to Nuxe body oil from France. Let’s talk imported beauty in the comments!

This year, I’m doing the Eyecandy Project 52 photography challenge. Every week, we have to take a picture inspired by a prompt, such as From Above. Some prompts are relevant to the time of year, some are more evergreen. I’ll post my more successful efforts here about once a quarter.
