This sculpture is called Diana, and it is in the Charles Engelhard Court at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City. I thought it looked like Cupid, so it was appropriate for Valentine’s Day.
I hope you all are enjoying the long weekend! I’ve been Miranda’ing my way through February. I’ve also been cleaning out the folders in my email, and decided a few Fabulous Links were in order.
Speaking of Miranda, Lynn Cohen, the actress who played Miranda’s no-nonsense housekeeper Magda, has passed away at the age of 86. I’m sure she’s snooping through night stand “goody drawers” in heaven. Cohen had a pretty long and storied career. Check out her obit on people.com here and Sarah Jessica Parker’s sweet Instagram tribute here.
Pantone has picked Classic Blue as it’s Color of the Year for 2020, and I’m not mad about it. (Fashion Network)
A few years ago, I received a letter from none other than Leonard Lauder. Yup, Estee’s son. He wrote in response to an article I did for Daily Glow about the death of his wife, Evelyn. In November, he was honored at the Lincoln Center Corporate Fund gala. He received the Women’s Leadership Award for his support of women’s issues and his philanthropic work. (WWD)
I always thought it was so sweet he wrote to me. I still have the letter.
So what is everyone up to this long weekend? Let’s talk winter break in the comments!
