Fabulous Links of the Week

Weekends are for comfy PJs and required reading!

L’Oreal and Founders Factory announced the five beauty start-ups they will invest in, Coach announced a chic new collab, an 85-year-old model kicked it at Paris couture week, Kopari Beauty got celeb investors, and the legendary Mary Tyler Moore passed away, in this week’s Fabulous Links!

Earlier this week, L’Oreal and Founders Factory announced the five beauty start-ups their partnership will invest in. London-based Founders Factory is a digital incubator, a company that provides financial resources and mentorship to tech entrepreneurs. (Forbes)

Coach just announced it’s coolest collaboration yet: a 15-piece collection with fashion label Rodarte. Look for it in stores in April. I can’t wait to see it! (WWD)

Carmen Dell’Orefice is 85 years old, and fierce as hell. She has been modeling for 70 years, and just closed out a show at Paris couture week. When I’m 85, I hope I can still move. Rock on, Carmen! (Allure)

Remember that time I reviewed the Coconut Crush body scrub from Kopari Beauty? This week, the brand announced they had received investments from some very famous fans, including Ashton Kutcher, Mila Kunis, and Karlie Kloss. Congrats, guys! (WWD)

Mary Tyler Moore passed away this week at the age of 80. Before there was Liz Lemon and Carrie Bradshaw, there was Moore’s Mary Richards. She paved the way for how working women were portrayed on TV. MTM was an advocate for diabetes research (she had type 1 diabetes) and a friend to animals. She will be greatly missed. (New York Times)

This year, I’m doing the Eyecandy Project 52 photography challenge. Every week, we have to take a picture inspired by a prompt, such as From Above. Some prompts are relevant to the time of year, some are more evergreen. I’m thinking I’ll post my more successful efforts here about once a quarter. Wish me luck!

Also, I started my 10-week photography class yesterday. I’ll try to post here about my progress.
